I like the calmness of this, the earthy colours, muted lamplight . I wouldn't like to have grat drama or mindblowing passion between these two. I want to smile softly instead and say, yes.

The thing I love most about B/G are those quiet moments, the understanding, the support. They work for me exactly because it's not the star-crossed romance or the dangerous passion.

Ah. I love stories where Giles has some kind of calm relationship with Ethan, maybe as friends, maybe just as people who aren't beating each other up any more. And I love that Buffy's reaction to the sight of Ethan is a bit of jealousy that simmers and is still there at the end. A calm moment for the two of them, and yet so full of promise!
