Faith and Spike get each other in ways that others don't, probably because their defensive mechanisms are similar. So Faith can see through his BS pretty easily, and I like to think that she's a giver, deep down.

Though now I'm freaked out that Anya is the first really-dead ex Spike has. That's some record over 150 years...

I loves me some Spike/Faith, even though I can't seem to quite get them into a clinch, alas. anaross is a champ at finding ways for the Spike/Buffy thing to not quite work, post-series, leaving the field clear for Spike/Faith to happen. Bless. However, you've sort of got me convinced Faith ends up with Giles, anyway. Works for me!

It is weird to think that Spike would have never lost a lover to death after all this time, given how much death there has been in his past. It's entirely possible that there are others, but we didn't get to see them, so who knows?

Faith is matchmaker, responsible girl and still Faith. And she facilitates Spuffy! Love it.

I don't know if she sees herself as a matchmaker, so much as doing Buffy a solid. She's learned not to play with Buffy's things, pretty much. Plus, there are plenty of hotties in LA to occupy her. Buffy can have the relationship, she's still playing the field. ;-) (I have a soft spot for Spike/Faith, but I just can't see it happening unless Buffy is entirely out of the picture.)
