First of all, I apologize for not uploading photos for over two months. Life has been too tiring. I've uploaded some more photos in the February gallery, and the March and April galleries are brand new (
main page). The junior prom photos can be found
here.

"More Than Words"
April 21st, 2007
at the Sutter Room
of the SF Regency Center
Highlights:
+ Everyone looked so pretty! Most of the dresses were really nice. AND I LOVE IT when boys dress up. A tux is the way into my heart.
+ The Sutter Room was nicely decorated. I really liked the orb-style lights. And the balloons! Playing balloon volleyball was a fun way to pass the time during the first hour.
+ THE DESSERTS ZOMG. If only I hadn't eaten a vanilla gelato beforehand! I only had a small bite of the African chocolate cake. I was surprised they even offered tables and tables of food. Kudos goes to the Junior Prom committee!
+ The music was pretty damn good. They played "Disco Inferno," which is quite possibly my favorite 50 Cent song. I've been waiting three years for ONE disco song, and I (sort of) finally got it. The songs only started dying towards the end. I wish they had a little bit more of a variety too - you know, one or two rock songs, or at least another crazy techno rave. BUT. We should still hire Spintronix more often.
+ The light show.
Downsides:
- THE RAIN. No explanation necessary.
- My hair didn't behave or turn out how I wanted. Plus, strapless dresses are probably the biggest hassle I have ever put myself through. My heels didn't hurt one iota, but no, my dress just kept falling! I don't even want to think about how many people I half-flashed. So embarrassing. NEVER AGAIN.
- Portraits were awkward. They put Katie and I in that terrible bending position. Katie looked perfectly comfortable, but my legs were so strained, and it's going to show.
- The one stall in the restroom without a lock. Whenever I went down there and only needed a stall for REALLY quick privacy, none of them were free except for the broken one.
- $1 for coat check.
= Pretty even, yeah.
That wasn't much of a recap, sorry. There's nothing to really say except that prom was amazingly fun. What I love about huge, important dances is that everyone just lets loose. I'm glad I was part of that majority instead of one-half of an awkward date. I love my friends and how we actually switched it up a bit. We followed Janay durng the hyphy songs in good humor. Aza twirled me around a few times. I think I'm getting more comfortable with dancing in general :D Unless it's a bad song. Then I can't even feign dancing. But of course, going stag wasn't as much fun as going with a date would have been. Everyone in the group had their respective drooping moments. I can't say that I don't have some regrets either.
NONETHELESS,
'08 WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
I can't stop saying that :P
