Reno walked toward that huge mansion. That mansion was never change since the first time he saw it. The difference was only the atmosphere around it. It was darker than usual and Reno could feel the anger that lingered this mansion. His only conclusion was Shou must be really angry now.
He walked toward the gate and wondered why the elder was angry. He was also curious about the boy that Shou already mentioned before. Maybe it was the cause why the elder became angry. Reno opened the door, and he found that Tora was already waiting for him. Without saying anything, he followed Tora’s direction to Shou’s bedroom.
He opened the door, and he could see a beautiful boy, was lying unconsciously on Shou’s huge bed. Reno stared at the boy in front of him. His soft and medium dark blonde hair, porcelain skin, and the curve of his lips mesmerized Reno.
Shou looked at Reno and smiled then, he grabbed Reno’s shoulder.
“He is the boy that I’ve already told you yesterday.”
Reno glanced at Shou and raised his eyebrows,
“It seems that his condition is much better now. And what do you want me to do?” He asked Shou and sat on the chair nearby.
“I want you to investigate his past and find out who’s the one that tortured him.”
Reno nodded and sat beside that boy. He put his palm on that boy’s forehead. He closed his eyes, concentrated to open the gate of his vision, and went to that boy’s past.

It was dark and cramped. Reno could smell stinky things around. When he was trying to move, he felt that there was a creature, lying next to him. Reno clicked his finger and then a little blue fireball was flying and lighting around.
He saw that boy, lying unconsciously again inside this store-room-alike. He could see bruises and scars all around his body. Reno greeted his teeth. He never saw something like this. Someone who abused this boy must be a heartless person.
Reno walked and then he sat next to that boy. He gently caressed that boy’s cheek and whispered, “Poor boy...”
“Who are you?”
Reno shocked by hearing that voice and widened his eyes; then he looked at that boy’s face,
“You can hear me?” he asked that boy curiously.
That boy nodded. His eyes were blinking for several times and then he looked at Reno’s eyes.
“Who are you?” He asked again.
Reno sighed and said, “I’m Reno. And you?”
“I’m Shin. Why are you here? It’s very dangerous here,” Shin whispered and hissed when he felt sharp pain at his body.
Reno helped Shin to sit. He touched Shin’s hand and transferred some of his energy to Shin.
“Who’s the one who hurt you?”
“I can’t say. He will kill me if I say something.”
“Don’t worry; he won’t notice my presence here. Only you who can sense it.”
Shin bit his lips. He looked at Reno and then he said, “My father. He did all of this. He put me here after he was satisfied torturing me.”
Reno could not believe with what he heard. He could not believe something ridiculous like this. A father should be protecting his children, not torturing them. The situation became silent and awkward.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps from the outside. Reno clicked his finger and banished his fireball. A loud bang made Shin’s face became white. Reno wondered why Shin became pale and looked really afraid.
An old man came with a long cane on his hand. He grabbed Shin’s arm and threw him onto his yard. He swung his cane for many times to Shin’s body and made Shin biting his lips hard. Tears were flowing from his eyes while his father was still torturing him.
Reno felt really angry when he saw all of Shin’s father treatment to his son. He never saw something cruel like that. His pride as the highest class of vampire did not allowed him to do those cruel things. He decided to leave Shin’s past, and went back to the future.
Shou surprised by the sudden appearance of Reno. He could felt Reno’s anger just by seeing through Reno’s eyes. Reno stared at Shou’s eyes, and then nodded. He let Shou explored his mind. He closed his eyes when he felt Shou was entering his mind. He showed everything he saw on Shin’s past.
Shou was really angry when he knew about the truth. He was never expecting that the one who tortured Shin was his father himself.
Actually, one thing made Shou interested.
Shin realized about Reno’s presence. It was the first time when someone could realize Reno’s presence and able to interact with Reno. This boy must be a special person. Shou was smirking and stroking Shin’s hair slowly. Tora sat beside him and said,
“What’s your plan now, after knowing about the truth?”
“Well, maybe we should find his father. I need to ask him about many things.”
“Let me do it, Shou. I will find his father.” Reno walked away and grabbed his jacket.
Tora was following behind him. He took silver chain, and gave it to Reno.
“Bring this chain. We can’t predict about future and what will happened next.”
Reno nodded and put that chain inside his long coat. After that, he walked outside the mansion, and began his journey to find Shin’s father. Tora watched his brother’s back. Somehow, he felt that there was something bad waiting for them. He could feel Shou’s presence behind him.
He hugged Shou tightly and kissed the elder’s hair.
“Please, be careful, Shou. Don’t hurt yourself, okay?”
“Un… don’t worry about me, you know that I can protect myself.” Shou smiled and then he kissed Tora’s lips.
He must finish this game. He must save Shin and protect him because this was his decision. He hugged Tora tightly, tried to calm himself. Tora smiled and kissed the elder again.
He swore that he would protect everything precious for him. He was also did not mind to make anyone suffer if they harmed his family. He was also did not mind to kill anyone that hurt his family as long as it could protect them.
Shou smirked when he read Tora’s mind. He walked into his room again, and then bit his palm until it was bleeding. He brought his palm, and let the blood dropped into Shin’s lips. Wide grin grew on Shou’s lips. He kissed Shin’s cheek and whispered,
“This game is starting now. No matter what your choice, you are already the part of this game.”
