I'm going to be appearing on a tv show today - Our local channel 2 has a show that airs daily @ 2:00 called Healthy Zone; it's sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The topic today is getting organized, so I'll be interviewed for about 4-5 minutes. They asked me to prepare 5 talking points that they would frame into questions that I'll answer. Ok, so far, so good. I know what they'll be asking and have prepared a one-page sheet with bullets of the points I want to make.
The problem? I can't read the damn sheet without my glasses on, but I can't look at the interviewer WITH my glasses on. Typically, I wear my glasses on a chain around my neck, and they sit on the end of my nose all day, like reading glasses. So I can look straight out and see clearly without them, or down to read or see the food on my plate.
I've tried making the font big enough for Helen Keller to read, but it's not working, and I'm afraid I'm going to look like an old lady if I wear them like this on tv. I wonder if I can have eye surgery before 11:30 today?
Stay tuned...
getting old,
work
