12 hours and counting 'til it's nothing but a memory...
I'm recovering from the sorest sore throat in the history of the universe - so sore we had to cancel Mother's Day plans with my folks and my mother-in-law - but the boys and hubby made home visits to deliver gifts and cards, so all was fine with the moms. It was a lost weekend for me, though, because I totally babied myself in order to be healthy for tonight.
Tonight is the big event that I'm chairing for the Mental Health Association - their 50th anniversary celebration/fundraiser - boy, has this thing taken on a life of its own! Over 400 guests, lots of corporate sponsors, nearly 3 dozen silent auction gift baskets - I don't think it can be anything but a success at this point, but man, will I be glad when it's over. I need a weekend of nothing but dirt and gardens.
