Personality: Alto is somewhat of a normal guy thrust into a bunch of, well, not very normal situations. Born into the world of kabuki, his mannerisms are rather flowing and eloquent, and at times he has been known to be mistaken for a girl because of this - combined with his good looks and long hair. Due to a misunderstanding between Alto and his father, he is no longer a part of the kabuki world, and while he tries his best not to show it, he is an actor through and through. With a bit of a chip off his shoulder and a deep-seeded resentment behind a certain role that made him famous, his defiance of his father is fueled more by the constant heckling by Ozma, Michel and Lucca, his teammates. He is seen as the newbie, and that in and of itself grates on him.
While he tries to make himself off to seem like he's a cool and collected person, that can be a bit far from the truth at times. There are plenty of people who can get his goat, one in particular being the galactic nymph, Sheryl Nome. Something about that woman seems to get to him, between her constant teasing and flirting, and yet for some odd reason, despite being a constant thorn in his side, he keeps her around. A stark contrast to the "other" woman in his life, Ranka manages to bring the more mature, nurturing side out of him. While he may not have enough time to personally take care of her, more often than not he will drop everything if he is able to come to her beck and call.
Never mind that the man is too oblivious to notice that both women fawn over him.
But for the most part, Alto is a somewhat standoffish, graceful man who gets picked on for our sheer enjoyment way too much for his own good. Prone to times of hot-bloodedness, this usually has something to do with fighting or general flailing about being picked on. Which he gets picked on. A lot.
Robot Name: VK-25F Messiah
Robot Description: The variable fighter "Valkyrie" class is a real type through and through. Horrendously fast and packing quite a bit of firepower, add being able to transform into one of three different modes - fighter, battroid and a hybrid between the two (GERWALK) - at the drop of a hat (and rather fluidly at that), and you have a rather mean mech. One of the biggest drawbacks to the VK-25F is that it sacrifices defensive power for speed, so a few concise hits could take it down easily. Still, good luck catching it.
Alto's particular model (which, mind, wasn't really his to begin with), starts off as somewhat basic of the basic. Armed with four different kinds of guns - a gattling gun, a beam gun, and two different kinds of machine guns - Alto's Valkyrie also uses a rather large combat knife.
Storyline:
Mission 1 "Hard Chase": Vajra attack the frontier! Alto jumps into a valkyrie and saves the day!
Mission 2 "First Attack": The S.M.S. is asked to save a Galaxy ship from Vajra. Enter a mysterious unidentified VF!
Mission 3 "Fastest Delivery/Memory of Global": Sheryl collapses before a benefit concert on a Ventradi planet, and they take her entourage (with Alto included) hostage. Michel comes to the rescue with Ranka Lee! Alto goes to bring her back when they come across the Macross Global, and Ranka starts having rather violent flashbacks. Then she's kidnapped and Alto has to go save her - but not without the return of the mysterious VK.
Mission 4 "Ranka Attacks": More Varja fighting. Premiere of Ranka's singing being used as a weapon to calm the Varja.
Mission 5 "Goodbye Sister": Ranka finally has her first concert and Ozma fights Varja. Spoilers: Ozma dies only not.
Mission 6 "Fold Frame": The government proposes a fold jump in order to stave off the Varja, but they make a sneak attack before the Frontier is ready. Outnumbered, Ranka saves the day once again!
Mission 7 "Diamond Crevasse": Ai-kun is a spy! The Varja attack from the inside after a concert given by Ranka and the Frontier is turned into a literal war zone. Lots of people die, including plot important ones! Also, Ranka decides to visit the Varja.
Mission 8 "Last Frontier": Pinpointing Ranka's location using her song, the Frontier decides to bring the fight with the Varja to them, and Alto comes to the conclusion that if he must, he will kill Ranka Lee. The Frontier fights the Varja, controlled by Grace O'Connor, with the help of Sheryl Nome. Happy end!
Notes: Other than the fact that I believe that Alto should be introduced in the middle of his first canon mission, I think we're good.
