So. Meijer Madness. Noun. An event during move-in week at MSU (Michigan, not SOME peoples' MSU... *cough* Pink) in which the buses run every ten minutes for free between various points on campus and the two local Meijers, and there are deals a'plenty. And in which dumb and overzealous college students attempt to purchase things and not be mobbed or run over as there is NO ROOM TO MOVE if you don't follow the crowd.
The roommate (Stephanie; she's badass) recruited people to go with us, as we were scared to take the bus alone. We recruited the two people that live in the room next to us and someone else who lives a ways down on the floor, Tara, and she brought her friend Tom. People next door were assholes and abandoned us before we were out of the building, but Tom and Tara were really awesome and hilarious and I've got myself an invite to go watch 300 with Tara sometime next week. We got off the bus at Tom's dorm, which is clear across campus, and then he walked us in the rain back to Stephanie's, Tara's, and mine, and that was all KINDS of fun.
I'm currently showering twice a day and still constantly covered in a dried layer of sweat crud. It's fun.
