What is the meaning of this? Who has transformed me, and to what purpose?

[ooc: Edward hasn't managed to look in a mirror yet, since his mirror is buried under stuff. He just knows he's significantly taller and buffer than usual.]

...it's wizards. Clearly. It's always the wizards, even here. Or, at least, something very close to wizards. Loose magic or something ridiculous that Hix'd spend days explaining.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Admiral himself were a wizard. This place reeks of their mischief.

Wouldn't surprise me either. It's like we've landed bang in the middle of the Isle of Gods.

I take it the flood got you, then? Any idea who you are?

Flood? There's no water here.

Flood's... ah, the colloquial term for getting hit by all this stray magic. at least, that's the best explanation I've got

This happens often, then?

More often than I'd like. And they're never the same. Although this is... similar to one there was previously.

What is the point? We're told we're here for "redemption," laughably enough, and then this happens. Is having our physical forms altered meant to redeem us?

I don't know - I learnt a lot I really didn't want to know about Lord Winder when this happened last. Except last time, we started thinking like them too.

Did you learn he was a fool and a madman, or did even being him leave you blind to his obvious defects?

I learnt that he was unduly paranoid, and that his orders were not always based in the most sane thought processes. I learnt to refuse his orders.

But he was still better than a King.

That's something worthwhile, at least, even if you failed to see the greater truth.

I can't even tell what I look like, let alone learn anything meaningful from it.

Would it be painfully obvious of me to suggest a mirror?

Mine is under things. I have not yet had the time to go up to the public bathrooms.

You might want to do that sooner than later. Having said that, I'll be the only person who might recognise who you are. You can show me and I'll tell you if I know them.

It's unlikely.

[Edward spends a considerable amount of time futzing with the communicator. After a good long pause and possibly some yelling at it, video switches on.]

Recognize anyone?
