...it's wizards. Clearly. It's always the wizards, even here. Or, at least, something very close to wizards. Loose magic or something ridiculous that Hix'd spend days explaining.

I don't know - I learnt a lot I really didn't want to know about Lord Winder when this happened last. Except last time, we started thinking like them too.

Did you learn he was a fool and a madman, or did even being him leave you blind to his obvious defects?

I learnt that he was unduly paranoid, and that his orders were not always based in the most sane thought processes. I learnt to refuse his orders.

But he was still better than a King.
