This is the last of the sporadic garden updates and this year shows some of the shrubs I put in six years ago coming into their own which makes it sadder to leave them.
The raised beds are empty this year as I did not have time to do them and also it is a lot of money to install bedding plants which will largely be seen by someone else - I like to think that I am leaving quite a legacy in bulbs and shrubs and perennials.
So here is July 2014 under the cut. And with it greetings to those lj friends who made it to this abode
all of whom have been good to welcome and to

The most spectacular year yet for the Hydrangea yet -

also its neighbour,the Dogwood
and finally a newer member of the garden purples and mauves a lilac Penstemon
and the lilies which also have had an excetional year :
