there is something in the nose you are right-and somehow I just feel that Bracey is a keen theatre man and see him and Archie conspiring on matters dramatic :)

I've been dying to have a chance to read this all week! How fascinating! You've mentioned Anne Bracegirdle to me before of course but I didn't know anything about her. Interesting about her portrayal of rape scenes and her interpretation of maddness, I'd be interested in reading more about that. She seems to have been a remarkable woman, and she could definitely pass as Lieutenant Bracegirdle's great granny!

yes it is fascinating - most of the infomation in this post comes from the paper that I referenced or rather the abstract/synopsis of it that was available free.You can probably access it online through an academic log in = it looked as if it would be worth a look.

Yes I think that BRAcey being her g grandson is a good trait for him.
