what will become of insurrection...
i just got back from my very first gig. there were five other bands playing at westport hall tonight. we played third, which is probly the best order to be in considering how pumped up the crowd will be. tonight was one of the greatest for me. at first, when the first two bands played, they really sucked. honestly. and the whole time there wasn't but four people standing at the very front by the bands. everyone else was in the back standing around, or sitting around the walls. i kept hoping that they wouldnt be like this at all when we played. then, after all the bullshit everyone waited for, we finally got our gear up on stage, did the sound checks, and before we could start, i was overwhelmed on how many people had gathered around us, just waiting to go insane. then we started playing our songs, one by one, and i swear that everyone begged for more. ive been to a lot of local shows, but i really have not seen any bigger mosh pits than i saw tonight in my days. in every. single. song, i could see all my friends and others just hitting and swinging their bodies at each other and getting the shit beat out of them. and the thing is, that once we were done, so many people had left before the other two bands could get on the stage. man, what a night it has been. we'll probly be making a demo soon enough, now that we got the show out of the way, although i want to go back at the moment when we first started again. but yeah, we'll soon be making a demo, and we're going to start playing more shows from now on. we've got the word out now, and we'll be hitting the big stages later on i hope. what a great night it has been. insurrection is the best of the best from what i saw...
