love is a choice. it's a pure emotion that you define for yourself and that definition most often comes through experience. not necessarily experience with other people--although that is important--but with yourself. if you are able to figure out who you are and what your purpose is--because ultimately the meaning of life is entirely individual--you will see that relationships and chemistry and interractions with other people will come easier to you. you will see who matters most and who doesn't. who pushes your buttons and who just talks. there is a difference between honestly, purely connecting with someone than with just aimlessly talking and laughing. the former leaves you with a powerful feeling of happiness, personal growth, and control over the things around you. love is real, and very much alive in all of us if we let it be. it's a choice you choose to make, to love or not to love. it lives and broods in all of us if we just simply let it out and let the beast take control. yes, sure, we may lose a hand every now and then but that is no reason to fear. at least have the sand to play another hand. love must also not be confused with lust. that is fundamental and by now i'm sure we all know this. lust is when you love a part of somebody--specifically their body--love is when the whole of that person is a reason why you get out of bed. or love could be the fact that you're happy that one specific person just simply exists. but again, it's up to you to decide. i will behoove you though, love can burn, it can burn and be a hell on earth. take it seriously. but that is no reason to fear it, no reason to run and hide from the most precious gift one can give, and the greatest thing that one can recieve.
