There are these "keys" that leads to Eden. The ones who holds the "keys" are the "Jewels" and they are humans who possesses a unique power. They protect the keys and in turn, the "Catalysts" protect the Jewels. The Jewels and Catalysts are bounded together by binding their souls together. However, the Noah are after the keys in order to open up the Gates of Eden and take over the world.
"Jewels"
They are humans who possesses a "Key" to Eden. They are the protectors of the Keys, and each Jewel is gifted with a unique, special power. There are 7 Jewels who each possesses a different Key to Eden. The Jewels are random chosen in each generation by "ADAM". However, each Jewel possesses the memories of the previous Jewel before them. They are the ones who make sure that the Gates to Eden doesn't open. In return for their protection of the Keys, the Jewels are in turn protected by their Catalysts.
However, the 7th Jewel is still unknown.

"Catalysts"
Catalysts are humans who are brought back to life by their Jewels. They possess a unique power and a tattoo that marks them as Catalysts. It is their duty to protect the Jewels against anything that'll cause them harm; especially from the Noahs. In order to become Catalysts, they have to die at least once and brought back to life by the Jewels who are connected to them. However, in order to do this, a small ritual known as "Spirit Bound" must commence. The "Spirit Bound" will bind the Catalysts' and the Jewels' souls together which will make the Catalysts protect them.
"ADAM"
The Deity of Eden, or rather, the Maker. "ADAM" is the one who controls everything that occurs on Earth. To the regular humans, "ADAM" is their God; the one who brings an era of peace every 1,000 years. It is because of "ADAM" that they are able to live peacefully for such a long time without anything happening. Unfortunately, it is also the one who chooses the Jewels. "ADAM" is actually the final Gate to Eden; which will only open if all 7 Keys were combined together to form the Sacred Key. Its counterpart is "EVE".
"EVE"
The Deity of Eden, and it's also known as the Sinner. "EVE" is the counterpart of "ADAM", and it is currently in possession of the Noah. It holds the same power as its counterpart, but instead of giving the Jewels and Catalysts power, "EVE" gives the Noah powers. It became "corrupted" once it was taken over by the Noah. No one knows the existence of "EVE" except for the Noah because it is frequently known as the ARK. Every 1,000 years, it brings the era of discord.
"Noah"
The enemies of the Jewels and Catalysts. The Noah are the blood descendants of the true Noah - the Prophet of Tragedies. As his descendants, the Noah possesses a specific memory that they've gained from him. They also possess a unique power and a stigmata that marks them as a Noah. The Noah possess "EVE", and trying to find the Seventh Jewel. Supposedly, the Noah are immortals.
Keys: They open up the 7 Gates of Eden. Each Jewel possesses a single Key.
