Reunion!
Past 2 days have been awesome. Getting back together with people was great - Matt, Peter, Scott, Michael, Michael, Christian, Jonno!, Eric, I do have female friends, I promise - and I reconnected with a friend I thought was long gone (Jonno). Also, my high school paid for never ending pitchers of margarita. The tequila shots we got ourselves hehe. Went back to Peter's house with Matt, Michael, and Jonno for more drinks and hanging out. His little brother had just graduated from Bishop's so he had friends over for a party. Kinda felt old... but I preferred to think of it as wiser and better able to hold my liquor. Spent some time reflecting on who I was in high school. I was the quiet one, resident goth, voted Most Artistic. I got along with everyone, except for my friends sometimes. I had a lot of male friends, many in theatre or tech, many very geeky like me. I never got in trouble for uniform violations, but I did show up to free dress days in black leather skirts.
Also spent some time at a karate tournament with Sensei Dad. There's been an unusual amount of hair stuff this weekend ^.^;; most awesome? Having a hair appointment with a woman named Kaylyn. Spelled differently, but still. Kaylyn! She was named after both her grandmothers, Katherine and Evelyn, which is pretty cool on its own.
Walked around La Jolla and Bishop's. It was gorgeous. There are pictures on facebook :D

So... for Comic Con costume, I'm thinking... Confessor's dress? I can't afford to get a wig like Kahlan's hair, but the dress I can do. May not have the full underdress and corset in time though. I wouldn't have time/ money to do a worthy Mord'Sith. Yet. I'll be doing a trial run of a Mord'Sith, and because I'd like one too hehe, but I want to take the appropriate care and time to do it right. I know Billy, my Comic Con buddy, approves. Really don't care what Matt thinks. I do care about your opinions though, thoughts? I'm on episode 15 btw (season 1). So, I've seen disguised Kahlan in action, and may I say, HOLY SHIT! Also Con Dar Kahlan, again, HOLY SHIT! I kind of really want replicas of those... um, I can't spell it, magic needles, to use as hair sticks. I think that would be awesome.
Ran into my old music teacher's daughter today at the beach! We said hi, walked a few steps past each other, then both turned around and went 'waaaaait a minute, I know you!' We haven't seen each other since maybe middle school, if not elementary school. We hung out and caught up for a few hours. Apparently she also loves rock climbing, so I may have a climbing buddy this summer XD I met some of her other friends and she gave me a ride home. At the beach there was an awesome group of people, I'm not sure if they are an official group or just that awesome. I noticed the guy spinning poi when I got there and had been watching out of the corner of my eye since he was pretty good. There were other people doing something else, not quite sure what, but they all seemed like they teleported straight out of '60s California - even the teenagers. Then there was this guy.
Unfortunately I caught him right as he was hopping off after turning around instead of walking.
