So the shower broke recently, just before my parents visited so my dad took a look at it and agreed that something had broken inside one of the dials (the one that controlled the water pressure to be precise).
We took the broken dial to the plumbing centre, they gave us a number to call. No one answered said number so I retreated to the internets (which also broke recently but is now behaving itself again) and ordered a replacement part.
We waited a few days.
The parts arrived.
They didn't fit.
Inspiration struck, buried in the various documents that were left when the previous tenants moved there might have been details of the shower. They were discovered, the shower's warranty had just ended (well played shower manufacturers, well played) but thus armed with a more accurate description of the make and model a new part was ordered.
We waited a few days.
The parts arrived.
It was the wrong one.
I proceeded to say bugger this for a game of soldiers and attached it anyway. Now we have a working shower once more and I don't have to wash out of the sink. Also it means I don't have to worry about playing npcs with lots of snazz! Yay!
