hey hey hey

This has been one of the best Christmas experiences of my life. My family were all pleasant and I got some great gifts. It was white, too. Indeed it's a nice change from cold, rainy Tennessee holiday seasons.

It turns out that Belle and Sebastion is the perfect musical backdrop to snow. While the rest of the album sucks, track 2 on Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant rocks my face off.

Is anyone who reads this god-forsaken thing going to Mr. Quintron at the Hi Tone on New Years? Hit me up comment wise if you are. or jpmillr1@memphis.edu

I really don't have much on my mind. I haven't been reflecting as much as usual; just good, wholesome times with friends and family.

Lastly, did the consumerist aspect of Christmas seem more apparent than in years past? I doubt that's the case, but I was at the mall this past week looking for a Dali print for Harriett and I found myself scoffing at everything. Perhaps I'm just getting older and more jaded, but I feel like I become more and more disillusioned with American "values" every day.

That little paragraph was slightly hypocritical though, seeing as in the FIRST paragraph I wrote about getting "great gifts." Oh well.
