yes, it might be a bad sign when your friends roll their eyes. this happens to me too. i'm kinda dealing with that. my take on it is: they shouldn't roll their eyes, because you listen to their shit all the time, and though you might disagree with what they say, (i assume) you do not disrespect them by rolling your eyes, so they should reciprocate. )that was a massive run-on. sorry. anyway, it does kind of lead you to evaluate two things: 1) are you full of shit and they realize it while you do not (that's my case i think) OR 2) are these people the kind of friends you really need? (i've also given that alot of thought.) i am of the mind that if you do not agree with something someone else does/says, oh fucking well, deal with it, its not your problem as long as it doesn't hurt others and as long as you are not participating in the offending activity. for example: "i don't like him because he's a democrat." (this was recently said by a friend of mine.) this stupid comment pissed me off. i understand how you might not want to be around people who you don't have anything in common with, BUT is his being a democrat going to magically rub off on you? is he hurting you with his presence and liberal views? do his political views make him a bad human being?? FUCK no. sigh. i hate closed minded people. anyway....
JP, what did you do that was bad? i need to know. i may be able to identify with you.
i like speaking what little French i know. they can fuck off. some of my friends hate it when i use "big words". oh well. get a damned dictionary.
(sorry i am in a bad mood. obviously.) finally, the sex thing. i am one of those people pre-occupied with it. as you all probably know. its not that i am having lots of it, by any means. i just understand. i have a fierce sex drive, that luckily i am able to somewhat control. BUT for me, the whole thing about sex of any kind is that yeah, you get that physical fulfillment for a moment, but big whoop, you can get that by yourself. the point of it is that you share that moment with somebody else. somebody else is giving you that peace and pleasure, and for a brief, fleeting time you feel sincerely connected to another person (with whom you probably are attracted to and enjoy enough to be engaging in this activity). it is an amazing feeling self-esteem wise, that another person would be willing to share that intimate a moment with you, therefore you must be at least a little special or have something going for you. then, though, yes, there is the bullshit. but some people think the bullshit is worth it. to be able to connect with somebody on that level, and take away the loneliness for just a short while. maybe makes the bullshit tolerable. i've just been thinking lately that maybe that's the whole point. to be able to share yourself with someone like that, and then eventually find someone that doesn't make you deal with lots of bullshit, and then making babies and continuing life.
