I finished freshman year of college with a 3.2. Not bad considering that I SERIOUSLY slacked off this past semester.
So far I've signed up for 2-D design, honors world civ. I, lit. heritage and francais.
Nothing much's going on here. I haven't a regular internet hook-up so that means MUCH less updating.
I leave for PA to camp chenawanda to work as a swim instructor/counselor in about a month. Excitement permeates my body and I am DEEPLY relieved that I don't have to spend four months in Brownsville.
I'm wondering how Adam could stand a certain someone that he was infatuated with this past semester. I've been reading her blog and she's the most whiny, self-deprecating person I've ever known. I honestly feel bad for her.
THANK GOD that I will not be going back to Richardson Towers. I fucking hate that place.
Music fest was okay. The only act worth mentioning is the Wailers, though Styx were cheesily entertaining.
Lastly, I'm more into jazz than I've ever been. Still rocking Thelonious, though Charlie Parker and Duke Ellington's orchestra MUST be name-dropped as well.
"Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk had these SPECTACULAR bricks at the beginning of the 40's, but Charlie Parker's rhythmic sophistication and phrasing was the mortar that held it all together."
-roughly quoted from this documentary I've been watching/studying/swearing by.
