So my Mom wants to keep one of my cats now. I'm not happy about this, but I'm considering letting him stay with her and giving some other needy cat a good home. I'd have to find a kitty that fits with the other one I will be taking from her soon. I looked on Craigslist and the Lucky Cat Rescue site. Can anyone tell me where else to look?

She was adopted but the people who adopted her and another cat decided to return them to Advocats. The other kitty was peeing on the bed and for some reason they thought that Raven was making the other cat do this behavior? They wouldn't even take the other cat to the vet to make sure he didn't have a urinary tract infection. That and they said Raven seemed skiddish? Well, yeah... she has been moved around and doesn't see her other kitty companions or me and David anymore. But she was never aggressive and was friendly when she wasn't nervous.

Raven is a very friendly and sweet kitty. She might be a bit more of a scaried cat but she always like to talk and play with mousie and ball/ball. She wasn't the top cat in the household so I don't think that she would necessarily try to be in another situation. She got a long with boy and girl kitties other than Willow but that was b/c Willow didn't really get along with girl kitties.

*sigh*... it pains me to say it but I don't know what happened to Amber I have been out of touch with that organization for some time. The cat thing is still very painful for me. :(

It says they are based out of Virginia. Is that where you got her?

David and I originally adopted Raven when she was a kitten from the Howard County shelter. She went to Advocat's which is the organization my boss is involved in and the lady's name is Virigina and she does live in VA. It was either that or she would go back to the shelter. Virgina really went out of her way for me and I felt bad for her and for Raven when that adoption fell through. If you think you might want to adopt her I might be able to figure something out where the cost is covered and they won't try to get you to adopt two. Normally they like to adopt the cats out in pairs. But since I signed her over to Virigina I don't know... :/

I will say this. Virginia isn't really a ppl person but she does run a good organization. She was pretty flexible with me when I need to pick up/drop off the cats.

Well, I'd like to have a chance to meet the cat before I made a final decision. That could be difficult with her being so far away. I'm giving it some thought.

I can understand that. Let me know if you think you like to see her and maybe it can be arranged. No pressure or ill will if you decide that isn't right for you.
