so yesterday, afte being unable to sleep most of the night due to a sore throat, at noon i convinced myself that i was fine and i could be out of town by 3, and i was well on my way to accomplishing this great feat...i had showered, packed nearly everything i own into my car, stopped at the mac for some quick lunch compliments of my good friend bekah, stopped at the lundquists to pick up a movie and then i was one my way, perkins was nearly in sight, when "dang it" i remembered i had to run to the church...minor set back, no problem...so i met melissa, picked up a few things, and noticed one of my tires was low...so i decided to take the east interchange and stop by les schwab to fill my tire...the kid at les schwab finished filling my tires and said i was good to go, so i press the clutch and turn the key, and whats that?!, nothing! car won't start...i think hmmm maybe these nice boys will give me a jump start, but then i noticed that my lights and radio turned on when i turned the key, not a dead battery...so i make arrangements to have my car towed to my favorite auto shop here in the burg, compiments of geico road side assistance....you may be wondering why i didnt just have les schwab fix it, well several reasons really, but mainly because i dont like the service at les schwab, for the half hour i sat there not a single worker came to see if i needed help, i didnt but that is besides the point...so my car got towed, and it is now fixed...the lundquists were nice enough to let me join them for dinner and a movie (polar express, good movie)....
then i came home, and my sore throat got worse, and i felt dizzy, so i went to bed, but did not sleep until about 7am....
this morning i woke up knowing that no matter when i got my car back, i was staying in the burg to rest and get better...sorry for all of you on the westside that perhaps this has become a problem for...dani i hope to still make it to your place by tomorrow :o)
so i have been resting and watching movies all afternoon, it has actually been nice, exept for that sometimes my throat hurts so much it gives me a sharp headache...
but here is what I can praise God for:
* my car broke while still in ellensburg, could have been worse had i gotten out of town
* i didnt get ran over by the hay truck(opps i forgot to mention that in the above story, insert close call with hay truck somewhere between leaving the first time and turning around to get to the church)
* i have a great dad who was more than willing to help me with the costs of the repairs
* great friends who gave me rides and helped to make sure i had food
* time to rest, with no worries about what i am not accomplishing
* understanding friends who have dealt with my schedule changes
