tale telling: point and click

I'm a big fan of Telltale games. While I don't love the direction that 'casual gaming' is dragging the PC game market, I do like it when casual games proove they can be quality experiences. This is one of the few non-indie ventures worth watching (and buying).

Right at this moment there are seven (7!) stories about Telltales games sitting on page 1 of joystiq(.com). A rare occurrence for any company.

"Telltale has plans to take us back to the kingdom of Daventry, confirming its King's Quest reboot is currently underway."

"The company announced that a sequel, Puzzle Agent 2, will launch on the PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad this summer"

"Telltale's adaptation of the Fables comic book series is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2012"

"Jurassic Park...It's not humorous, the graphical style exchanges whimsy for something more realistic, and it's even driven by some action sequences."

"Hector: Badge of Carnage (indie iphone game), is getting a little boost from Telltale...they will publish all three planned episodes of the slovenly cop's adventures on the PC, Mac and iPad through this fall."

"Telltale Games confirmed plans to wrap up its Tales of Monkey Island series on the iPad"

"Telltale Games' Steve Allison boasted that Back to the Future has been a real boon for the developer."
