Console gaming and choral singing are now colliding in a way I never expected: game soundtrack recording! A local game-music composer / studio engineer visited my last men's chorus rehearsal. After listening to us for about an hour, he expressed his extreme interest in working with us to create demos that he can market to get larger contracts. He wants us to provide loud powerful vocal sound, similar to Carmina Burana in its aural punch, to include on game soundtracks. For those gamers out there, a similar example would be the music for Halo. I'm stoked. I've been gaming all my life, singing in choirs since age 9, and now I'm getting to sing for games. sweeeeeeet.
