30 Days of Harry Potter Meme - Days 5-7
Sorry, missed a couple of days there. Time to do a few questions at a time!
01. Discuss how you got into Harry Potter.

05. Wizard Rock: discuss
Quite honestly, I never really got into Wizard Rock. I feel as though I ought to like it, but I just don't. It's nothing personal, because it really does seem like fun. The thing is that however cleverly crafted the lyrics and the enthusiasm of the performers, I rarely find much exceptional musical talent in WizRock. I know, I know, it sounds mean, but I can't help thinking it. I do enjoy filks, and I love A Very Potter Musical and its recently released sequel so very much. So, I don't have an excuse to not like WizRock. It's just that, well, I don't. Like it.
06. Your favorite character(s)
It's basically a three-way tie among the Trio, but I love Ron slightly more than I love the other two. He's prone to moments of cluelessness and insensitivity, true, and he's such a teenage boy sometimes! But I think his character development was among the best in the series, and he's very passionate, caring, and loyal, even when he falters. I love his relationship with Hermione especially, but that's for day 8. As for Hermione, she was my favorite when I was younger, and I still think she's an excellent character. She's both dazzlingly smart and incredibly intense. As logical as she is, I love that she's a firebrand when it comes to things she cares deeply about. And of course I love that she has such a strong political conscience.
Harry, of course, is a given. In the words of Dumbledore, "You wonderful boy! You brave, brave man." What I love about Harry is that he is essentially a normal boy who becomes exceptional when exception is required of him.
As for other characters, I love Ginny, Remus, Tonks, Luna, Neville, McGonagall, the twins, and Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. I find Ernie Macmillan strangely hilarious. I thought Snape was well-written, but I still think he's an utter git. A courageous git, but a git nonetheless.
07. Song that reminds you of HP
I'm not a big music listener, to be perfectly honest. I once made a video about the Trio to "Beautiful Day" by U2, but I can't really think of a song that's not ostensibly HP related that reminds me of the series. So I'm going to cheat and say A Very Potter Musical soundtrack, because that's what I've been listening to all day. I might change my mind later.
