Caucuses and Hackings and Family Trees, Oh My!

Iowa caucuses tonight! *breathes into paper bag*

I need some distraction... and thankfully, Jo's Potter-Weasley family tree was posted while I was away (of course). Thoughts:

- No Percy/Penelope makes me sad. I knew it was a long-shot, but I've always liked what little we saw of them as a couple. Given Penelope's absence from GoF onward, however, it makes sense. She probably dumped him once he started acting like a prat (smart girl).

- As a fan of fernwithy's work, Bill and Fleur's small family also saddened me. They're supposed to have too many children to count, with lots of little sisters to annoy Victoire, Jo! Oh well. I do like the names Louis and Dominique, at any rate.

- Speaking of small families, what's up with that? There is (are?) a grand total of twelve Weasley and Potter grandchildren. I guess Molly was pretty gung-ho about having a daughter, because none of her kids had more than three children of their own. Either that, or she and Arthur had quite an active sex life. (What? They had seven kids...)
Still, there should have been about twenty grandkids, filling the Burrow past bursting point at family get-togethers and keeping Molly busy knitting Weasley sweaters at Christmas.

- George/Angelina. I think Jo is right in saying it's a bit unhealthy. The weird thing is, though, that while I didn't care for this pairing up until about three days ago, I find it endearing and right now that Jo has made it canon. Although this does mean that there are a few non-redheaded Weasleys - but Angelina as their mum more than makes up for it.

- I still maintain that Rose and Hugo are redheaded, though. And Gryffindors.

- Why the heck did Ron and Hermione's family get completely passed over when Jo was going through the tree? I got the impression that she did talk about R/Hr and their mini-Weasleys, too, but it was edited (maybe for time). We did find out that Ron and Hermione are James's godparents, though, which was nice to have confirmed.

- James Sirius - totally called it! (As did half the fandom.) I wrongly guessed that Lily's middle name was Ginevra, though. And, love Luna though I do, I still think Lily Ginevra sounds better.

- Lysander Scamander! a;dsfjaklsdfja;fjdskajfl But Luna + twin sons = love.

- Poor bachelor Charlie! On the plus side, though, this means he and I can totally have a torrid fictional affair. *nods vigorously*

Thoughts, f-list?

Oh, and MuggleNet was hacked last night, and I actually went to check news while it was still up... ugh, some people are jerks.

Half an hour until the caucuses. Ack. I need to find lucky socks or something...
