Okay, this is HUGELY dorky, but someone (me!) was very bored and lonely from travel on the plane, so I took yesterday's photo and some of the others I took on the trip and well... indulge me. Even if the words part is corny, the photos are nice. And YES I did mess up a couple lyrics, which I didn't realize until I was all done. They're all crazy ( Read more... )

I think it's really sweet. You got a lot of the LA vibe in just a few photos, which is really neat. Racism, cholos, police problems, celebrity, wow. Nice going, lady! Love this and love you.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure what the name of the place #1 is - it's Malibu or something really near Malibu. There were a lot of big homes, but not mansions, almost pretty clapboard and wood shingled type homes, if that helps. I was a guest at a studio guy's home, I'll try to ask. #2 is the outskirts of West Hollywood, and #3 was somewhere in East LA.

and also, i took some pictures of your hometown when i was out there for the fourth of july. they're not anywhere near as beautiful as yours (and there's no real them there) but i thought you might enjoy a tourist's perspective. :)

These are fantastic. But I don't see any pirates. How can you have Colin Meloy lyrics without pirates?!

What was I thinking? I'm afraid this is the bet I can do, but you have to admit, it's pretty close to a pirate... he just needs an eye patch...
