father's day yay

Father's day is always a time to be greatful for Dad and of by all means. Dad's are the ones that often are the strong support children need when growing up and when they struggle later on in life. My Dad been a support to me like none other, my love of serving others was given to me by my father. I a lot of who I am I learned from my father. I thank God every day for my Dad, and especially this year because he has been so in and out of the hospital and sick for so long. It is nice to see that on father's day he is feeling much better again. To see him able to drive, to play basketball, even though he should because the stress it might put on his heart, but to see him happy, even going back to work. I worried so much and pray so long. Today was a total blessing, it was a great gift from God. People sometimes wonder why I believe in God so much, and my answer is a day like today. Besides every prayer I ever had has been answered. But thats another story you can ask me about some other time.

Another thing. I wonder if enough people say Happy Father's Day to their parish priest. We call them father when ever we speak with them. They try to nuture our soul. They are with us in so many moments of great joy and saddness, offering words of encourage, shared happiness and helping to carry some of the burn of lost and saddiness. Priest so often are the unsung father's that give, give and give but are not thanked. To many times they are mad fun of, they are called names because of the few that did harm. They few priest that commit unspeakable crimes become the things we remember instead of all the good that so many, the majority of priest do. I hope that this year when you see a priest even if your a day or two late say btw Father, Happy Father's Day, thanks for everything. It will mean the world to them. Thank God for our holy and good priest that we have.
