Well.
The naked as a jaybird part I get - since that’s how birth works in real life. In fact, I get the goo part too (no explanation necessary, I’d hope). But can somebody, please clue me in as to what the cheer-up-emo-kid with the ridiculous sword has anything to do with being reborn? I can't tell if it's supposed to be metaphorical, ironic, or just plain random.
A de-winged version of a seraph with the flaming sword, like the one who stands at the gates of Eden? Possibly, though the Powers that Be could use a bit of a dust-off when it comes to final execution. A former walk-on fresh from the set of the latest straight-to-video B-list kung fu movie? Infinitely more likely.
Either way, I can’t help but think that somebody is pointing their finger and laughing at me. Which, oddly enough, wouldn’t surprise me.
Also the fact that I'm dressed like I've just walked straight out of 1984 doesn't help with the whole love-loss I'm currently feeling for this place. I'd say get me to a thrift-store, stat, but then I'd come off as trite.
