Insignificant thoughts that have crossed my mind:

.) I have a really hard time saying "You're welcome" and I can't for the life of me figure out why. I usually settle for giving an "mm-hmm" when someone tells me "Thanks" and sometimes irk out a "No problem" but almost never a "You're welcome." I realized this at work yesterday when I was tempted to put up a post-it note to remind me to say "You're welcome" because it occurred to me that it might sound snotty to dismiss someone's thanks so easily. Anyway, this is just a little problem I have that I need to correct. Any suggestions on how I can do this?

.) School is sooo extremely boring it's unsettling. I went out to "brunch" with Jinra, Jenn, and Theresa last week and we did a mini-recap of our first week. Theresa summed it up best by saying it's really just not exciting because it feels like we've done it three time already and maybe that's because we really have done it three times already. Does that make any sense? I just need something great to happen. Something unexpected but still wanted. The thing in my fortune cookie at Panda Express yesterday told me that a tempting proposition would be coming soon so all signs point to sweet relief shortly...

.) Today I need to make reservations at Largo for the 9/26 Jon Brion show. Apparently you need to call in for this about a month in advance since it's always all booked and I've been wanting to see Mr. Brion at Largo for a long long time. If anyone wants to go let me know before this evening, just know it's kind of expensive (about $25 for the night probably). I'm going with my friend Emma who I met at Flower this summer. She's really cool actually and we've been emailing back and forth a lot about our dull lives except I count her's as significantly less dull because she gets to pal around with people like Milo Ventigmijfieajf and Samaire Armstrong on a regular basis. That ups the potential of me feeling inadequate but thankfully she's good-natured enough to not name-drop or act superior or anything of that nature.

.) Drew B. is on the cover of everything these last couple months! Ellegirl, Jane, Self, etc. Usually people are on covers when they have a movie coming out or something right? But it seems like her only reason is because she wants to get people to vote. Good cause but man I'm so sick of hearing celebrity-types and musicians go on and on about "Vote or Die", "Choose or Lose" blah blah blah. It's not that I think people shouldn't vote (unless you're completely uninformed in which case that's not fair to anyone, is it?). But watching those MTV Awards (it was sunday night, there was nothing else to do!) was really annoying for many reasons obviously but mostly because of all this voting stuff. It just seems self-righteous for people who have some fame to think they have the power to change peoples minds about voting. But then again should this stop them from trying to change young people's minds? See, now I'm getting all confused and there's too many sides to the issues and math is hard.

.) Minus the Bear is playing at my school today at noon. I've never heard them but supposedly they're super so you should all come down.
