everything's goin my way...so far...
here it is mid-April, and things finally seem to be goin smoothly for me.
i missed a cruise to Mexico, free may i add, because i had already scheduled to have two wisdom teeth removed. rescheduling was not an option because i've been putting it off too long and the dentist recommended i not put it off an longer unless i wanted the rest of my teeth effected. so i passed on the free cruise, but perhaps, i may get to go, with the same group of friends who went, next year. i'm excited. i'm also planning on going on a cruise with some family this summer, no definite plans yet, but i've been doing a little research.
so i was all worked up about getting my wisdom teeth removed. i'd never had an IV (ended up getting poked four times, twice in each hand), but it wasn't so bad. i'm just ready for the bruises that make me look like a heroin addict to go away. i'd also never received anestisia(sp?) of any kind. i was afraid it would wear off or i wouldn't wake up. all my worries aside, everything went well. the doctor was very gentle and nice, and i didn't feel a thing, except the pain afterward. he prescribed me some very nice drugs for that though. mostly, things are back to normal. there's still a little soreness back there and i'm still bein careful about what i eat, but i'll be munching away soon enough.
i've mailed all 25 of my graduation announcements, and my parents and i decided to have a graduation party here at the house for me. nothing crazy, just family and a few of my close friends. it's been fun planning it. i'm really looking forward to being officially finished with IUS. not to mention, i will be the only person in my entire family to graduate from college, and i have a huge family. so it's a big honor for me.
i've been doin some extra work for my boss at work - special projects. i created a slideshow presentation full with pictures and statistics for the month of March for a presentation he had to give to his higher-ups. i was kinda proud to do it, and i love creating slideshows, plus i got paid for it, onyl 3 hours, but 3 hours doing something i love. i'm hoping maybe this will help lead me in other directions within the company, but we'll see.
my resume is updated and ready to be mailed to about 10 different places - newspapers and magazines in Indianapolis, Knoxville, TN, and the local area. i hope someone finds interest in me. if not, i will continue on...
