so these last couple of weeks have been amazing! i went and saw morrissey on april 10th and the palladium ballroom in dallas, tx. we were about 8 people back from the barrier (not as close as i have been). it wasn't the best morrissey show i've been to, but it was amazing nonetheless.

so here's the set list from the show:
1. This Charming Man
2. Billy Budd (i was so happy he played this!)
3. Black Cloud
4. How Soon Is Now?
5. Irish Blood, English Heart
6. When I Last Spoke To Carol
7. How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?
8. I'm Throwing My Arms Around Paris
9. Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
10. Something Is Squeezing My Skull
11. Seasick, Yet Still Docked
12. The Loop
13. The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores
14. Death of a Disco Dancer
15. Best Friend On the Payroll
16. I Keep Mine Hidden
17. Sorry Doesn't Help
18. Ask (amazing!)
19. Let Me Kiss You
20. I'm Okay By Myself
Encore. First of the Gang to Die

after seeing morrissey 4 times now (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009), i have to say the best show was still the 2004 show (plus, i was closer at the other three... i almost caught his shirt once, damnit!!!)
here's a video from the show i was at. i was up wayyy closer, in the general area of boz.

to add on to amazing music, we went and saw My Bloody Valentine (same venue) on April 22 this week. it was absolutely mindblowing. i've never felt music through my body like i did at this show. we were one person back from the barrier, and we were right in front of belinda. juan's ears are still ringing (he didn't wear his earplugs, i did). but... wow.
here's the set list:
1. I Only Said
2. When You Sleep
3. You Never Should
4. (When You Wake) You're Still In A Dream
5. Cigarette In Your Bed
6. Come In Alone
7. Only Shallow
8. Thorn
9. Nothing Much To Lose
10. To Here Knows When
11. Slow
12. Soon
13. Feed Me With Your Kiss
14. You Made Me Realize

the holocaust section (as they call it) of you made me realize was AMAZING! i thought i was going have a heart attack and suffocate at the same time due to the enormous sound they were producing. it was amazing.
here's a video from the show:
