An entire holiday simply for the purpose of promoting love and affection, symbolized by hearts. Were I capable of it I believe I could grow to hate this time of year.

this could be a bother, holidays, not bitter at all~

Just don't pay it any mind. Eventually, it always goes away again.

As do all things. But that hardly negates the fact that this season is exceedingly annoying to those of us who... lack.

I shouldn't know. I'm the only dead man I know of with a pulse.

Perhaps you ought to stay indoors until the weekend is over. People are a bit obnoxious about all of this silly "love" shite.

To put it into simple terms, being reminded of that we do not feel and do not have is somewhat less then comfortable.

Even staying inside until the weekend is over is not likely to be enough without also steering clear of the internet.

I expect I'll manage to survive in either case.

I've certainly managed to live through worse.

Do tell. Everyone is far too cheerful lately.

It's not a story I much care to tell, but I supposed I could if you had a burning desire to know the truth.

Go on, then.

Before we begin I must ask: are you familiar with what a Nobody is?

Not particularly, no.

...I'll have to go back to the very beginning then. You see, I was not always as I am know. Once I had a different name, and was effectively a different person. That man who I am and yet am not was known as Ienzo.

Ienzo? Hmm. Alright. Go on.

Ienzo and his colleagues were men of science, apprentices to the ruler of their land. I'll spare you the exact details of what they were researching, but suffice it to say things did not entirely go as planned and in the end what they had unknowingly unleashed destroyed not only their world but them as well.

The story, however, did not end there, although by all rights it should have.
