If someone gave you the opportunity to relive a part of your memory at no cost to yourself, how would you answer and why?

Relive it to change something, or just relive it for the sake of reliving it?

Either will suit, although changing it is, I believe, out of Castle Oblivion's range of ability at the moment.

Ah, the castle. I wasn't sure if this was hypothetical or not.

It is as hypothetical or literal as you wish it to be.

I'd tell 'em to fuck off.

For what reason, may I ask?

The whole point is that things only happen once. Good shit would be cheapened by re-living it, and bad shit would just be shitty all over again. Leave the past where the fuck it's supposed to be.

And if you had the option to regain a memory you'd lost? What then?

Do you get to choose the memory or have it chosen for you?

And...hmmm...I think I'd have to say no.

You may choose the memory.

Why?

That's something, at least. Imagine someone or something making you relive something horrible.

Well, life is in the here and now. If you dwell too much on the past, you can forget about appreciating what you have. I keep a memory box, and I like to think back on places and people and things, but that's all I want to do. I don't want to go back.

It would be sad when I returned, too.

I'd tell em' to fuck off.
Most of my memories are bad ones.

And if you could visit the good ones, instead?

No, because that would just be depressing.
