Birthday, yay!
Well, today is my birthday, and it's raining. I was really hoping to get out and ride, but it's too dang cold...
To start the day off, I'm getting texts and phone calls at 4:00 in the morning. I guess people don't realize I don't fall asleep until 3:00 a.m. and don't really like getting calls after only an hour of sleep. But hey, I'm happy for all the birthday wishes :) Lets not forget the b
Unfortunately the boyfriend has work today, which means I won't hear from him either until lunch break or when he's out of work. We did get to hang out last night and spend some time together, which I'm happy for. Dad bought me a pair of boots, yay! I'll have to put up pictures of my now retired boots, they've served me well for 3 years of daily wear and tear. But when you can see what kind of socks I'm wearing from across the arena, it's time for a new pair!
Roping practice ended a few weeks ago so the owner could send the cattle back home and head out to Arizona for winter. I must say, I'm jealous. It's fricken cold!
Mare Millie came back from a lease to MIHA equestrian kids and a lesson stable, I'm actually really happy she's home. We'll continue the lease next summer, but I do miss her when she's gone. This is the type of horse you can throw anyone on and she'll adjust to the rider. I've won a few ribbons on this horse in classes I'd normally never have a dream of placing in on my gelding. She has pro training in reining and western pleasure, and it definitely shows when you put an advanced rider up! First thing I did when she was home was hop on and run through a quick reining pattern, ohhhh I've missed sliding stops and spins!!

Tuff after a good roll, knowing practices are done until April. Of course the halter is a breakaway, I'd have nothing else on my best horse :)
Millie in her cheap hunt attire. The good saddles are for the actual hunter, who is narrower. Millie doesn't mind, as long as she gets food. Believe it or not, this is her bikini body!
