Irrelevant Gaza Comment.
Most of my news I get from the radio. All of the pro-Israeli statements about the current conflict in Gaza say that what they want is for Hamas to "stop using Gaza as a base for launching rocket attacks against Israel."
My initial reaction is always "Well, where the hell else are they going to launch them from?" as if somehow they didn't mind the rocket attacks, they just didn't want them coming from Gaza.
Which is stupid, of course, but why not just say "We want them to stop the rocket attacks"? "Stop using Gaza as a base" seems like such a strange turn of phrase, and I keep hearing the same phrase over and over.
