Azkaban Gothic
I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix this morning. I think I might be in the minority on this one, but I really liked it. Of course, I am a morbid creature, and this is a dark, dark movie. Also? Not troubled by filmmakers violating canon in order to translate text for the screen. In the cinematic OotP, there's almost a continual unraveling of the book's "canonized" details.
On deadline now -- writing up my weird interview with Steve Buscemi, the last celebrity whoring I'll do for The Paper That Must Not Be Named -- but will post more about OotP tonight for those who wanna hear about it. Yes, I know how to use an LJ cut. Sissies!
