GUYS! GUESS WHAT SEASON IT FINALLY FEELS LIKE OUTSIDE.
I am thrilled. We had an early, warm spring and a hot summer, and I'm beginning to think that what really sparks my mid-to-late-August Christmas music binges is the fact that I just get so damn sick of summer, and there's no sign of fall, so I seek solace in music that is blustery and blizzardy. But now the humidity is low, and leaves are falling, and apples are ready for picking, and I'm in the mood for Danny Elfman.
We'll still have warm days, but that's okay. They won't last. Bwaha.
Meanwhile, I have Amanda Palmer's new album. It is awesome. Less awesome is listening to it for the first time while at work and being unexpectedly moved to near-tears by "Trout Heart Replica."
