Where was Cliff when Flossie skinned her knee and was in need of comfort?? I'm sensing a series of missed opportunities in Cliff's future.

Does Nan evey do ANYTHING? I swear she's the only one in the book who doesn't do anything, ever. Apart from finding buttons, but hell - I find those all the time, DOES THAT MEAN I AM A BOBBSEY TWIN!?!

Slippery Jenks better come and apologise for all these buttons I have >=(

I suppose as she ages, Nan must slowly become more and more like Mrs. Bobbsey: good at being nice and making people feel better, but otherwise useless. She probably only found the button because of her instinctual drive to mend clothing.

When your name's Nan, that's really all you can hope for. In general, of course. But every Nan in books I've ever read has been rather dull.

I don't think I've run across any Nans outside the Bobbsey Twins series. But perhaps I have, and they were just so dull that they wound up beneath my perception.

OMG, CLIFF IS THE KILLER SMUGGLER!!

How heavy is the bucket on the other end of that stick if it can lift Fatty Freddy?

GASP!!! You're probably right!

The bucket must be full of cement, or some other high-density material. And the wood must be incredibly strong. Teak, perhaps.

That's no well - that's a colonial hippo-lifting device!

Ack, I know! But you may have to wait another day or so... I desperately need to practice my Annie Get Your Gun music, and I've recently began making icons for Where the Wild Things Are.
