CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Kurt Wagner, The X-men
In-Game Name: Kurt Wagner or The Nightcrawler, from when he was in the war.
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Position/Rank: Captain of The Sea Hawk

Appearance: Kurt is a funny looking one, to say the least, being easily classified a mutant when he isn’t being accused of being a demon or a boggie. Not as tall as most men, coming just bellow six feet, Kurt is decked out completely in short blue fur, from the tips of his pointed ears to the end of his forked tail. He could easily come off as frightening with his glowing yellow eyes and pointed fangs, if it weren’t for the energetic smile that never leaves his face.

All of his unusual characteristics aside, Kurt has quite the handsome face and well toned body that might send any lady swooning, so long as they can look past the initial quirks.

Kurt has a habit of dressing in either an extremely flashy pirate-esque costume, usually made for impression, or an extremely simple, casual outfit with just a white shirt and black pants. Usually strapped to his side is a golden-hilted cutlass.

Personality: Despite everything you read about his appearance, Kurt is actually far from being scary. He’s also far from acting his age. The elf maybe in his early thirties but he can more than keep up with anyone half his age. This also includes his skirt chasing ways. He is a hopeless romantic as well as a complete flirt. Not to mistake this for
lechery, because he’s far from doing anything of the impolite sort, but there’s more than one reason he’s called the ‘Silver-tongued Devil’

He’s outgoing and optimistic, usually keeping a bright smile on his face. He loves nothing more than to play a card game with a few friends or to just have a good drink. He also finds that there is nothing wrong with the way that he looks, and therefore embraces his mutant heritage completely.

Though when the time comes to get serious Kurt drops his ‘fun-guy’ attitude. He takes his ship, friends, crew, and goals with the utmost importance and if he sees anything threatening either one of them, well, let’s just say Kurt knows how to use that sword. Don’t mistake his light attitude for weakness. No man walks over Kurt Wagner.

Abilities/Weapons: Kurt, being a mutant, was gifted with a few unusual abilities aside from his appearance. The main one is his teleportation. Kurt can teleport just about anywhere within a two mile radius so long as its somewhere he’s seen before, other wise he runs the risk of teleporting himself inside of a wall. With this, he possesses enhanced agility and some amount of camouflage when in the dark.

Other then the abilities he was born with, Kurt is also well learned in fencing and many other sword arts of European descent.

Weaknesses: Probably Kurt’s biggest weakness is women. He is hard tied to the damsel in distress view and will often be easily deceived by one. He also makes a point never to strike a woman with no exceptions. He’d just do his best to talk his way out of the fight.

Kurt’s teleportation is also limited, like stated above and also his appearance sometimes makes it hard for him to make public appearances in smaller villages or towns.

History: Kurt’s real family is utterly unknown to him. Such a thing never bothered him growing up, considering the loving foster family that adopted him as an infant. Found on a river bank by a gypsy woman, Kurt was immediately taken in by the Szardos family of Kiwitaria.

His adoptive mother had a way with story telling and so Kurt grew up with the tales of heroes and brave men. He dreamed of one day being in their place battling out bad guys and saving the damsels in distress. This in many ways shaped who Kurt became as a man.

Another mile stone in his life, would have been the ongoing war between Tortuga and Britannia. Kiwitaria was smaller and out of the way, so a majority of the war went on with out much of its involvement. When Kurt turned 21, he decided himself to fight for his country. He figured if there was a way to be a hero, and to honor the stories he heard as a boy, then protecting his way of life would have been it.

He spent several years in the Tortugan military, under the pirates lord’s orders. They fancied him rather good at stealth related jobs and placed him at the head of several spy and assassination missions. Kurt, though he hated the idea, reasoned it was for the greater good. He soon proved them correct in their placement for him and he earned the name ‘The Nightcrawler’ by his comrades.

When the complete destruction of the Tortugan city of Ishbal happened, Kurt was bewildered. He completely vanished from the military as soon as the war was called to a stalemate.

War was an ugly thing, and Kurt decided never to see it again.

Instead after spending some time back in his hometown, Kurt came to the conclusion that there was maybe another way to help his country, but without the senseless blood shed of war.

He decided to steal from the rich Britannian bastards and give to the poor!
