Watched Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Entertaining until the later bits with the dragon then so much wrong, too much to suspend belief: People being safe from fire behind metal pillars while more distant, hidden, stuff which has just been exposited as hard to light catches fire; Person floating in a pan in liquid metal without frying; freshly cast metal standing solid then abruptly spurting out- apparently the latent heat of melting of dwarven gold is negative.
Drilled holes in another upright.
Covered a cake in marzipan. Used solid block, not worth the extra for the ready rolled (once you've bought it once and kept the handy plastic sheet: very useful for lifting the marzipan.
Tried working out why I can't get my new chain and cassette to stop skipping. Took the back wheel and jockey wheels off to see if the rear mech or cable was jamming but seems to work fine. Perhaps I've gummed up the chain by putting too much wax on over the factory wax/grease?
