Music Post #1
I have concluded that I am incapable of contributing anything even remotely interesting to this website. SO. I'm sticking with what I know and decided to share my "music of the moment". The following is basically a bunch of stuff I'm going to have on repeat for the next week or so. My taste is obscure, but I hope you find it at least somewhat interesting. (: Most of the following should be "chill-out" music - stuff like post-modern rock, indie, electronic, alternative. Nothing screamo, emo, metal, or overly pop will grace this journal, I assure you. :)
Oh, and as a note before you browse this - I will only be linking to Youtube and Hype Machine (hypem.com). Both sites are awesome for free music listening. Hypem has a smaller selection pool, but I find it convenient because it provides nice little download links and has some obscure remixes that even Youtube can fail me with finding.
This Week's Featured Track
1. "Sing" by Four Tet (youtube.com/watch?v=dYXdeFm2jfc)
I could go on and on and on and on for hours about how simply AMAZING this song is, but until you go listen yourself you probably won't believe me. One word radiates from this, and it's a word I don't feel radiated very often: LOVE. It's just... love. From the little chimes you can barely hear that start halfway through, to the hypnotizing harmony of it all... my god, I could die happy listening to this.
Now, Massive Attack and their new album Heligoland, which features some very unique songs:
