I just read that one of my abroad educational programs is at a universitet that once hosted a nuclear reactor underneath. That most of the nuclear experiments in Sweden had been in for quite awhile. That had reached critical mass. That is underneath a densely populated area in Stockholm.
The reactor hall remains an amusement to many as once it was next door to what used to be Sweden's first nuclear reactor. Close to the reactor hall is the restaurant Q.
What part of any of this seems to be a particular good idea?
(I would make a joke about Stockholm Syndrome but I am sure that those reading this can do it for themselves.)
One day I will understand what fascination leads Europe to build scientific areas under the ground. Right now I just stare and really wonder if that particular situation was a little too far.
A whole gosh lot.
