(no subject)
well thought i'd better let everyone know what's been going on lately.
still house-sitting, which is good.... being with monkey_kplunk everyday is still kind of weird, but it will be hard to give it up when i have to go home again.
anyhow, yesterday he had to work, so i dropped him off (at 8:10am... far too early to be getting up on your day off) and then came back here. i was going to go back to sleep, but it was just too nice a day for that. so i did about four loads of washing instead, and then sat down to watch some of the commonwealth games.
when ian got home from work we went down to the shops to get something for dinner. while stitting here and talking before doing anything about dinner monkey_kplunk's dad calls and asks us to go there for dinner, so we did. hadn't been there very long (and i was on the phone to my mother) when ian's bad stomach pain came back again and his parents made the executive decision to take him to casualty. so i sat and ate with ian's mum, then we proceeded to watch "the wedding singer" followed by the two hour episode of buffy that she had taped and hadn't watched yet. eventually they got back at midnight, both starving after having left after tea was just ready to eat.
anyway, seems as though it's not anything too serious like appenmdicitus (which is good), but the bad news is that it could be an ulcer in his stomach, or even a gallstone (which isn't good, but is treatable). so now he needs to go to the doctor and have his cholesterol levels tested and get an ultrasound. so will be a while before we know what it was/is. if it happens again he has to go straight to emergency. lucky where we are now is about five minutes from the nearest hospital with an emergency ward :)
anyhow, he was back at work today, and so i slept till late. this afternoon we went shopping - i wanted new jeans, and i got them :) as well as a really nice shirt (for the bargain price of $5)
have found an add for a job that i might actually have a chance of getting, so will have to play around with my resume to fix it up and then write the email to appy. hopefully i won't botch this one up like all the rest. i guess we'll see though. i guess there will be people that are more qualified than me that apply, so i won't be too upset if nothing comes of it.....
