One-shot: Flash

Aido was waiting outside. When Ruka’s voice sounded, he knew the camera would come flying, and come flying it did, straight into his waiting hands. Aido had a split second to admire the beautiful shot Ruka managed before the window came crashing all over, followed by Kaname-sama landing neatly in front of him in a cat-like crouch.

Eeek. Okay, Hanabusa, don’t panic! Proceed to Plan B!

Kaname -sama straightened up and brushed broken shards of glass and bits of wood from his person.

“Aido…”

RUN, HANABUSA, RUN!

Aido ran, jumping over the wall easily and stuffing his ears with special cork that he and Ruka had invented. He ran, clutching the camera to his chest, feeling the wind rush by. But behind him, Kaname-sama was easily keeping up.

Don’t look back! Just run! RUN!

~

Tch, Kaname thought, putting more speed into his legs. Aido jumped over a building, and Kaname easily did the same.

Okay, no more games!

He raised his right hand and wind swirled around Aido, sweeping his legs easily out from under him and causing him to smash his face on the pavement. Kaname landed soundlessly beside the face-smashed vampire.

“Now, now, Aido---.”

What the-

Senri Shiki came sweeping from Kaname’s side and grabbed the Nikon camera from the ground.

*_*!

“ALL RIGHT, YOU’RE ASKING FOR IT!” Kaname growled as he gave chase.

~

Kanda stood by the damaged window beside Takuma Ichijou. Together they surveyed the wreck that had an odd, Kaname-shaped outline.

The two vampires glanced at each other.

“He will kill them, Kanda.” Ichijou said. “He would probably crush Aido’s head in his hand, and then tear Shiki’s heart out from his chest. With Ruka he would be kind enough so as to just rip her to shreds.”

“Oh.” Kanda blinked. He looked out the damaged area of the wall again. “I suppose.”

“You’re not going after Kaname?” Ichijou asked, blinking.

“Hmm…” Kanda rubbed his chin thoughtfully for some minutes.

“Fine, fine.” He said, as wind gathered around him and sent him soaring out into the night.

~

Aido caught the flying camera easily in his hands, but gave a yelp as the wind picked him up by his ankles and dangled him high in mid-air.

“RUKA!”

He threw the camera to the running female vampire beneath him; Ruka easily caught it and bolted, her skirts flying.

The wind dropped Aido Hanabusa and sent him, yet again, smashing his face on the pavement.

~

Ruka shut her eyes; she was finally cornered.

“Give the camera here, Ruka.” Kaname-sama’s voice came as a soft purr, his deadliest, as he pulled the earplugs from her ears.

He’s going to kill us!

Left with no choice but to obey, Ruka pulled out the camera where she had put it between her breasts for safekeeping. She looked at with dolefully as Kaname-sama’s hand closed around the gadget.

…Oh well. The camera wasn’t hers anyway; it was Ichijou’s. So she wouldn’t weep for all that money wasted…

But the shots! The beautiful pictures of Yuu-sama!

“Kaname…?”

She looked up just as Yuu-sama landed behind Kaname-sama. She blushed furiously at the way Yuu-sama had his arm around Kaname-sama’s middle, the fair-skinned limb snaking up, his fingers spread open and clutching Kaname-sama’s chest in this unmistakably provocative way.

“It’s just a picture. You can just delete the files, you know, no need to destroy such an expensive thing.” Yuu-sama said, his lips barely touching the tips of Kaname-sama’s earlobe.

The hand around Ichijou’s digital camera loosened a bit.

“Na, Kaname?” Yuu-sama said softly, his nose and lips against Kaname-sama’s neck.

Ruka had to use up all of her self-control not to die a very bloody, nosebleed-y death.

“Fine.” Kaname-sama sighed, and proceeded to press some buttons and wiped out every picture in the camera’s memory. “There.” The pureblood said grumpily.

“That’s a good vampire. Give it back to Ruka so she can return Ichijou’s camera.” Yuu-sama continued, showering small, soft kisses on Kaname-sama’s neck.

Ruka shut her eyes just as Kaname-sama started to blush. She felt the camera thrust upon her hand.

“Now come away with me. I’ve got an excellent plan, one that doesn’t involve clothes…”

EEK!

When Ruka opened her eyes, the two painfully beautiful purebloods were already gone, and the only sign that they were there was that the air still shifted even though there was no clear force behind it. She clutched her cheeks, and from the way it felt hot under her hands, she knew her face was burning.

Ruka straightened up and ran back toward where the others are, her heart thumping violently and excitedly in her chest.

souen ruka, hanabusa aido, yuu kanda, kaname kuran, takuma ichijou
