My Cat Died Yesterday

This week has been somewhat hectic. And by hectic, I of course mean not hectic. I managed to get up before noon twice. Once because I had a meeting with the other fencing club officers to go to, and another because I wanted to drive to Houston and back before the scheduled Festivous activities.

First: Fencing. Practice is going to start again on the same day as practice. Maybe how weak and slow I feel when I try and fence tomorrow will inspire me to actually set up my pad and start playing DDR again. It sucks that every time that I'm getting back to where I feel I can attempt Max songs again something happens and I don't play for a long time. Anyway, fencing. Should be an interesting year. I was elected to a position with responsibilities involving communicating with the SWIFA reps of other clubs. SWIFA promptly exploded and now I don't really have much to do. I'm sure the other officers will find things for me to do.

At some point I went and bought books. I think that was on Wednesday, but the days are all sort of running together. No, it was Thursday. Definitely Thursday. Anyway, the bill was $704.84. The most yet, for 12 hours of books. Holy shit. Blake pointed out that I should probably shop online for books at somewhere like half.com. I promptly felt like a retard and checked out my options there. I was only able to find two books there, but I'll still get back more than $100. One of the other books has an interesting story. It seems that the book is now on its seventh edition, new just this semester or so. That's fine, I'm used to that sort of thing... However, when looking on half.com for a cheaper deal, I found that the sixth edition was published in 1988. God damn 16 years without a new edition, and they choose this semester. The rest of the books appear to not exist, at least on eBay, as their ISBN number isn't listed.

I went home earlier to get some furniture. Among this furniture was my mini-fridge. It was decided that since, after only four days of occupation, the fridge was filled with five six-packs of beer we might need more fridge space. As a favor to my roommates (since I still think that beer is about as good to drink as ass sweat) I got the fridge to use as auxiliary drink storage. I plan on also keeping Mountain Dew in it.

I got back to find out that our Festivous had been canceled for reasons not adequately explained. That didn't stop us from drinking... Last day, really. Class starts tomorrow. Then we can't be a bunch of drunks.
