After he left Nadia, Walter ran, not walked to Blenner's home, running up the stairs to the garden outside his door and knocking urgently. He felt terrible about taking so long, but if Blenner had been the closer of the two when things had changed back, Walter would now be feeling terrible for having to make Nadia wait so long.
He knocked and if the door wasn't opened damn soon, he'd be cutting the lock off.
"Vlad...." Walter sighed and shook his head, deciding to go easy on the vampire. They'd been through enough without his remonstrating his lover for acting like he didn't deserve Walter. "Do you want a robe or do you not care if Lucy and Coffin see us like this while we go to your room?"
Walter held Vlad's hand tightly and kept his head high when they exited the bathroom. He'd seen Lucy's expression when he arrived and he already knew that Coffin didn't like him, so he braced himself for their disapproval.

Coffin had begun to pace in front of it; soon, there'd be a neat little groove worn into the hardwood floor.
She had a fairly good idea of who would be there when she answered. Still...
"Ah. It's you."

"Where is he?"
Or manners, apparently.

"In there," she said, pointing to the bathroom door.
The sound of water drumming against tile was still the only other sound in the apartment.

Coffin seemed intent on following its master, but she laid a hand on its lid and held it still.
Blenner just might have caught Coffin's motion out of the corner of his eye. And, he just might have flinched.
