Forever and After Post

Sitting in front of the fire I sighed with content. It'd been centuries since I'd actually been able to walk around in the day so being about to stroll through the park, stepping on leaves was so sentimental. I especially loved the walks Buffy and I usually took in the afternoon; warm sun on our faces with a nice breeze so you're not too hot.

I had to get use to wearing sweaters and socks because as a vampire temperature never really was an issue but being newly human I could actually feel the difference between hot, warm, cool, and cold.

I was adjusting well to my new life; girlfriend, home, and job. I worked for a construction company with Xander. He put in a good word and Willow created a past for me. It wasn't too hard, at work every one called me Angel and the one Irish guy actually started calling me Liam. It was nice talking to him during lunch, asking about home, and figuring out how things had changed since I was a boy. Upon meeting him I promised myself I'd take Buffy there for a vacation sometime or another.

It'd been a long day and it felt good to be home. My man-slayer abilities let me hear the car pull into the driveway and soon after I heard a door close then our front door open.
'Angel', Buffy was home.
"In here baby."
