Nickelback+Percy Jackson+Sony Vegas+Coca Cola+Me
Oh, wow, I gotta tell you... I came up with a very poor idea about four and a half hours ago. (Just so you know, it's about 4:30 AM, right now)
So, I've never been very handy with vidding. In fact, I've only ever managed to understand Windows Movie Maker and we all know that's not really going to get you spectacular results. About two weeks ago I had a strange moment of over-confidence, where I went: "Hey, I could so totally learn how to use Sony Vegas!" Then, in the same moment of over-confidence/insanity, I downloaded the trial version for the programme. I opened it, looked at it, blinked and the over-confidence evaporated in the blink of an eye. So, naturally, being the quitter that I am, I closed the programme and didn't look twice at it again.
However, tonight, well, last night actually, my eyes landed on the desktop icon again and the same confidence rose once more. I've recently become reobsessed with Percy Jackson, so of course I got the magnificent idea to make a short vid about Percy/Annabeth. (Because they're awesome and anyone who doesn't agree can kiss my... cat. And yes, it maybe directed to an audience half a decade younger than me, but who cares...? I watch Disney Channel too!) Now, it's four and a half hours later, I'm cross eyed, jittery and on the verge of insanity. (Oh, wow, did that rhyme or am I seriously going crazy?)
So,here's a handy lesson for all: if you're determined to learn to use a completely new computer programme in the middle of the night, then do not drink from a 1.5 liter bottle of Coca Cola while you're at it. It'll make your mind go places which no one should have to see. I'm so hyped up on sugar, my hands a shaking and I just giggled aloud at the screen. In my bedroom. In the middle of the night.
Nonetheless, I am also determined to finish my vidlet, which should be about a minute long. And by Zeus, if I do, you'll be the first to see it, dear imaginary readers of my LiveJournal. (Well, and plus the one - hopefully - non-imaginary. :P)
Oh, and, another handy lesson, in case you didn't catch it from this post. IF YOU SUCK AT USING WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER, THEN DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT SONY VEGAS. IT WILL FUCK YOU UP. And this is how we end a post.
