Hello Livejournall! Now that I'm 20, I've managed to age-verify the account I had when I was 12, in violation of COPPA.
I learned a valuable lesson from this experience-- DON'T TRUST THE INTERNET. Never give it your real name, age, or
street address. Facebook users have yet to learn this-- heck, I have yet to learn this properly, but I got a good shock in the form of being locked out of my account for 8 years, so I've been a lot more careful to lie, lie, lie online now that I know what's good for me.
Thanks for assisting in the large-scale cynicism-breeding project that is the internet, U.S. government! Think of the children! (who are all 69, now.)
