rockin' around the christmas tree
merry christmas to everyone!
yesterday, i worked 11-3pm, and then came home and marissa and i baked some gingerbread men for santa. that was fun :) then i made lasagna for dinner, and matt came over and we opened our one present that evening. matt got some cologne from gap from marissa, marissa got a dora bouncy ball from me (you sit on it and bounce) that she's in LOVE with and now bounces everywhere, lol. and i got a cordless hand vac from matt.
then today, we opened gifts.
marissa got tons of clothes (go figure, lol), a holiday barbie, a doctor set, some play food to go with her kitchen set i'm going to buy once it comes back in stock (i was so sad i couldn't get it for her for christmas!), a cleaning set to go with her kitchen, some big lego blocks, 'open season' movie, some candy in her stocking, and then matt got her the 'meet the robinsons' movie, my dad bought her two books, and i got her 2 books.
i got matt a pair of pj pants and some boxers from gap.
and my dad got me a hand vac with a cord. so i guess i have two, lol. he also helped me pay off some of my debt earlier this month, so i love my daddy <3
and my mom is sending her gifts to us tomorrow. and also another friend of ours is sending hers tomorrow. then thursday my friend kim is coming over to gift exchange, so christmas will continue, haha.
oh, and jen (daycare provider) got her this cool coloring set with washable crayons and markers. and she got me a picture frame set up thing. it's really neat.
then after we opened presents i fixed biscuits and sausage country gravy for breakfast - it was SO good.
and for dinner i cooked a glazed ham, green bean caserole, deviled eggs, white potatoes, and we had sparkling cider.
and then tomorrow i plan on doing some after christmas shopping!! lol. i always go out and buy next years' wrapping paper and stuff after christmas cuz it goes on sale. plus, some good sales are going on. and my dad treated me to $100 as another present as well :D
